How We Verify Profiles
Every person you see on Olive IRL has gone through a real verification process. Here's how we keep the community genuine, and what you can do if something feels off.
Selfie verification
Every member submits a selfie before they can appear in matches. Our team reviews each one by hand, typically within 24 to 72 hours. Once approved, your profile gets a verified badge. You can match and message while your review is in progress: the badge is the reward for patience, not a gate. Your selfie is reviewed privately and never shown to anyone.
Community reporting
Anyone can report a profile, photo, or message that feels off. Every report goes straight to our moderation team. We act on verified violations: removing photos, suspending accounts, and issuing permanent bans.
Ongoing moderation
Safety isn't a one-time gate. Our team actively monitors for accounts that started out fine but shifted into behavior that breaks our guidelines. When we find them, they're removed.
If something feels off
Our verification catches most bad actors before you ever see them, but no system is perfect. If a profile feels fake, or a conversation takes an uncomfortable turn, report it right away.
Tap the menu on any profile card or inside a conversation, then select Report. Every report is reviewed by a real person on our moderation team. You will never be penalized for reporting in good faith.
